DIY ANTIBACTERIAL TRANSLUCENT LOOSE POWDER

Today I’m going to show you a recipe for my favorite DIY loose powder. It’s light, transparent and very natural. It is basically just micronized bamboo powder with a few extra ingredients. All you have to do is to mix it.

This is a recipe for about 20 grams of loose powder.

INGREDIENTS YOU NEED:

15 grams of bamboo powder (the more micronized the better)

1 gram of baobab leaf powder

5 grams of silk powder

20g powder packaging

Powder ingredients

If’d like to also create a little color and glow effect you can add following:

0,5 gram of pearl beige mica

0,5 gram of silk beige mica

Mica's swatch

About the ingredients:

Bamboo powder (Banslochan Powder) is rich in minerals and silica, so it’s dedicated to oily and combination skin with excess production of sebum. It’s antibacterial and doesn’t clog the pores. It’s a white dust that leaves the skin with a transparent finish. Bamboo powder is a vegetal alternative to mineral powder.

Baobab leaf powder (Adansonia digitata leaf) is full of antioxidants. It contains large amounts of pro-vitamin A, calcium and polysaccharides. It fights against the first signs of skin aging and has interesting anti-inflammatory properties.

Silk powder is a highly treasured natural powder. It contains 18 amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein and are essential to our skin. It’s not only a great moisturizer for dry skin, but it also absorbs excess oil when applied to oily skin. It has both antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which help in balancing the pH levels of the skin. It is also a natural sunscreen, because it reflects UV rays and has the ability to renew old or damaged cells, so it reduces the signs of aging.
